Examples include the Magellanic Clouds (Large and Small), which are visible from the Southern Hemisphere and are satellite galaxies of the Milky Way. Both galaxies, belonging to the Local Group, are rich in young stars and nebulae, making them a &#8220;cosmic laboratory&#8221; for studying star formation.
